Basic Operation of Welding Machine

The operation of a welding machine mainly includes the following steps:
Power Connection
Connect the welding machine to the power supply, turn on the switch, and open the machine cover.
Welding Material Preparation
Load the flux-cored wire, straighten it, feed it into the wire conduit, and then into the wire feeder. Adjust the wire extension to 2-3 cm, align the welding torch with the wire, and adjust the angle slightly.
Parameter Adjustment
Connect the torch switch and ground cable. Select the appropriate welding mode and adjust the current. Use a lower current for thin plates and a higher current for thick plates.
Starting Welding
Press and hold the red switch on the welding torch; the machine will start feeding wire. Adjust the wire extension to 0.5-1 cm. Secure the workpiece with a ground clamp, then perform spot welding or drag welding.
Main Technical Parameters of Welding Machine
Rated Input Voltage: The rated input voltage must comply with equipment specifications, typically 110V, 220V, 380V, depending on the grid standards of different countries.
Rated Output Current: The output current range varies by model, usually from tens to hundreds of amperes.
Welding Voltage: Welding voltage is generally between 20V and 40V, depending on the welding type and materials used.
Power: The power of a welding machine ranges from several kilowatts to tens of kilowatts; higher power indicates stronger welding capability.
Insulation Class
The insulation class determines the safety and durability of the welding machine, usually Class B or Class F.
Cooling Method
Two cooling methods are available: air cooling and water cooling. Air cooling is suitable for small welding machines, while water cooling is for large industrial models.
Safety Operation Regulations
Protective Measures: Place the welding machine in a dry, insulated, and sun-shaded area. For outdoor operation, use a shelter to protect against rain, moisture, and sunlight.
Fire and Explosion Prevention: Do not store flammable or explosive materials within 10 meters of the welding area, and ensure fire-fighting equipment is available on-site.
Grounding: Ensure the welding machine is properly grounded. Do not connect the ground wire to flammable, explosive, or heat-generating objects.
Personal Protective Equipment: Operators must wear required personal protective equipment to prevent electric shock, falls, and other accidents.
